CHCC Food & Beverage Advisory Group

Dear Members,

We wanted to provide you with the results of the Member F&B Survey completed late last year and the Board’s next steps in relation to the F&B work.

The F&B Member Survey provided some valuable insights and data to allow us to focus on the areas that require immediate and longer term attention. You will see in the survey the key themes were:

  • Ambience
  • Food options and quality
  • Halfway House
  • Outsourcing
  • Trading Hours

In the final report linked here, we have outlined ‘Where to from here’ to provide Members with information on the actions management and the Board will be taking to address the survey themes.

The Board have agreed the next step for the F&B work is to engage an external consultant to support the development of our F&B offering and provide direction and a process for its execution.

The work from the F&B Advisory Group and research provided will be invaluable in creating these outcomes. This approach is consistent with the other strategic priorities for the Board (Greenkeeper Maintenance Facility, Clubhouse Redevelopment and Brand), as it is critical we have independent advice to make these important decisions.

When we put the F&B Advisory Group in place the purpose of the group was:

  • Define and develop the desired F&B experience and supporting infrastructure
  • Represent the point of view of members and guests
  • Participate in focus groups and market research (ie: club visitations)
  • Provide advice but not execute the required activities

These objectives have been met.

I would like to thank the F&B Advisory Group Members for their valuable input and commitment to this project and thank you to the Members who took the time to contribute to the survey.

We look forward to reporting back the findings of our work over the next few months.

Regards,
Steve Kemp Chair
F&B Advisory Group
