Super Seniors Report

Posted on: 17 September

They say that all good things must come to an end, but unfortunately in this case it was a little earlier than expected.

Having won the Pennant for the last 3 years, your Super Seniors Pennant team took on Forster-Tuncurry in a Northern Zone semi-final at Maitland yesterday. It was always going to be a tough challenge (the opposition’s highest marker had a GA handicap lower than 6 of our 8 players), and after a tight tussle CHCC were defeated 5 matches to 3. Two matches were square on the 18th tee, and in the end a couple of missed putts proved the difference.

Particular thanks must go to all the caddies and supporters who made the journey up to Maitland – evidence once more that CHCC is the best-supported team in the competition. Well done to each and every player – it wasn’t the result we sought but you can all be proud of your efforts in representing the Club throughout the year.
