Women’s Grade Team – It was HOT, HOT. HOT out at Penrith today and so was Castle Hill!

The Women’s Grade Team played out at Penrith today and it was hot, hot ,hot so was Castle Hill. The extreme heat didn’t affect the team and they were on fire to beat a tough opposition in Moore Park. Winning the day 4 & 1. All players put in an outstanding effort battling off the heat and showing courage to ensure that Castle Hill were victorious. Each player showed courage, strength, stamina and good sportsmanship to hold off their opponents.

Jordyn Deen showed exemplary ball striking skills today, led from the outset, and by taking an early lead in the match she was able to finish her opponent to win the match 8/6.

Ellie Mayakev was confident with her short game today and continued to showed great courage and defeated her opponent 4/3. Our number three player, Farmaan Dhillon started strong, it seemed that she didn’t let the heat affect her and set out with early 3-hole lead, her opponent was in form and attempted to take the match, but Farmaan, dug deep and won her match 2/1. Sinae Kim Rah was confident in her game and ensured that she kept her player at an arm’s length to ensure that she ended up winning her Match 2/ 1. Lyndal Cash was gallant in defeat going down 5/3 to an opponent who was on song today.

The Team today was Jordyn Deen, Ellie Mayakev, Ellie Farmaan, Sinae Kim Rah and Lyndal Cash. All players were thankful to their caddies for their continuing support, providing shade, fluids and encouragement.
